We hope you have had a successful 2009 year. The account managers aim to touch base with all of our customers annually. Some customers we hear from more often than others. We like hearing from you and like to complete an account review with each customer. Some of you have probably already heard from us asking you lots of questions. We do this to ensure good customer relations. Here are some of the questions we ask and would welcome any calls from you:
Ortivus recently completed its fifth Sweet Software hosted group training for 2009. In a Hosted User Group Education scenario, a trainer will come to the host EMS service and go through a comprehensive training, as well as field questions from the participating services. Normally, the program content covers the same material that would be presented in a national user group training and lasts for a period of two days. The 2009 hosted group trainings took place in:
Ortivus trainer and support technician, Beth Hollar said that her training in Wisconsin included many advanced users (some with 10+ years on the billing system), but that everyone reported learning something new, including many new “time-saving tips.” Beth said that the attendees enjoyed the smaller classroom size and convenience of being close to home.
Ortivus trainer and Industry Education Coordinator, Kathy Ransom, led the final training in Hudson, North Carolina. She said, “I had a wonderful User Group training out in North Carolina this week. This was a hands-on workshop that was held at a community college. My group commented on the ‘little things’ they had forgotten, such as the Print Codes and the Code Analysis Report; almost everyone indicated that this was a great review for them. … Many had never used the documentation section, so I spent extra time reviewing this area and we spent a lot of time on the Reports section, which many reported as being very helpful. One of the attendees commented, ‘I feel a lot better about understanding different parts of the software, and what I need to do to accomplish certain tasks.’”
The small group setting is ideal for networking and discussing common issues among EMS services and also for addressing specific needs. More individual questions are typically addressed in a smaller setting, as well as the ability for attendees to share their tips and knowledge of issues with each other. The informal setting is relaxing and promotes a comfortable learning environment in which both trainer and trainees can cover a lot of information, focused on their specific needs.
In a hosted User Group setting, Ortivus handles the promotions and payment, and the host site is responsible for the on-site meeting room and amenities. Hosting an Ortivus User Group Training is a very economical way to train the entire billing staff on improved use of the Sweet software.
