Celebrating 10 years with the Company...Congratulations Fred Vandal!

History with the company:
Since I graduated from school in January 1999, I’ve been working for AVeL-Tech and now Ortivus. I participated in almost every software development project in the company.

I started as a junior programmer working on AVeL-CAD. As the company grew, I became more and more involved in technical decisions and became Team Leader for the base platform of new Ortivus products. I then switched to Team Leader of RMS (Record Management System for police deparments) which is still in development.

Current position:
My current position is Assistant Director of development.

Most memorable event since you’ve been with the company::
In ten years, I cumulated a lot of memorable moments and great accomplishments. Definitely the most memorable one is when my colleagues and I went parachuting. I would never have done this by myself but being part of a group sometimes makes you fearless. It was a very thrilling moment that I will never forget.

Most enjoyable part of your job:
I enjoy almost every part of my job, but what I especially like is programming. It requires a lot of thinking and creativity. It also gives me a great feeling of accomplishment.

I also really enjoy the team spirit that we have in our Montréal office. The atmosphere is very friendly and I really love working in these conditions.

Other Relevant of Interesting Information:
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Mélanie, and my two lovely kids, Jacinthe (soon to be 5) and Kevin (soon to be 8). Together we enjoy camping, cycling, playing board games and basketball. I also enjoy cooking: if there were no computers, I would surely be a Chef…

When hired at Ortivus and current position:
I was hired in March 2009 as an Account Manager.

Any memorable events since you’ve been with the company:
Experiencing the release of our new software Fusion ePCR to the public when at the EMS Today show in Baltimore, MD.

Most enjoyable part of your job:
So far it has been establishing relationships with my customers, current Ortivus customers and new prospects.

Other Relevant of Interesting Information:
Moved to Decorah from Atlanta, summer 2008. Hobbies include: Photography, painting, backpacking, snowboarding, swimming and anything that involves travel.

Welcome Bryan Perrott!

When hired at Ortivus and current position:
I was hired April 20th, as a support services representative.

Any memorable events since you’ve been with the company:
I haven’t been here long, but have had a great time learning from everyone in support, and attending multiple demos with the sales department.

Most enjoyable part of your job:
So far, I have enjoyed working with the maps for Sweet-CAD and Crystal Reports for CAD reports. Everyone has been very helpful in my training and answering any questions I have.
